About Bhavik Shah
Born on 9th November 1983 in Matunga, Mumbai in India.
Studied in Smt. P. G. Garodia English High School in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
After school, I completed my B.com from S.I.E.S (South Indian Education Society) College of Commerce and Economics – Sion, Mumbai. Along with Bcom did my Specialization in Animation course from Arena Multimedia.
During my college days, I was part of the Organizing Committee for Fantasies, one of the best college festivals in Mumbai. I use to head Computers team.
Currently am a Graphic Designer with decent programming knowledge and updating my skill sets regularly.
Me n computers?
Majority of my friends, cousins, relatives call me as a computer. LOL!!! Yeah… I am so glued to computer and technology that I am updated with most of recent happenings with them.
My interest in computers generated long back when there were black and white PC’s. It all started with games – the old DOS games. I still remember many of them like TD, KEEN, NIMBLES, PRINCE, GORILLA, BRICKS, etc.
Later seeing one of my friends coding a site I developed interest in web. With urge of learning I logged on to Yahoo Geocities and made my first site without any knowledge of coding and designing. It was all magic of page builder provided with geocities. I spent around 50 hrs of time in cyber café making itJ. Here is the link for the site Click Here.
Programming
Later I learnt Html, Dhtml, JavaScript myself while I was in school. Though not a hi-fi programmer then now I am quite good in few coding languages like HTML, XHTML, CSS, Flash Action scripting, and a learner of PHP, XML.
Designing
Watching cartoons 24hrs earlier, made my interest in knowing what the real thing about cartoons is. Later joining Arena Multimedia my perception on Design and Multimedia Film broadened a lot and it’s really a WOW!
Knowing 2d, 3d, Graphics designing, Game designing, Advertisement related designing, Video editing, After effects, Special Effects, 3d Animation, 2d Animation, CD Authoring, etc, the idea, efforts, brain storming, visualization going after a particular creative piece makes me keep my pace to be updated with the technology and knowing new stuff.
Apart from computers, what?
Apart from computers, its Music and Movies. I have a vast collection of music on my computer almost around 50 GB and a cabinet of audio cassettes’ n cd’s. Movies though I don’t prefer to have a collection I have a decent collection of them special the animation and special effect ones.
Also I have done glass paining (learnt from a cousin), textile painting (learnt, as had to take one option in hobby in school), Casio (learnt in school), Drums (had learnt long time back, now just remember the dandia beats ), Drawing (improved lot due to efforts of one of my cousin sis)
Sports
I don’t like watching sports on television. If I watch, then its pool, snooker matches otherwise am a good batsman, a good goal keeper, and a play decently pool and snooker. Apart from these sports I love badminton, carom, chess, and swimming.
I guess I have covered everything…
